WCC's 50th Anniversary Celebration

  • Scobert Gardens Park 1180 West 4th Avenue Eugene, OR, 97402 United States (map)

The Whiteaker Community Council has been serving the neighborhood for 50 years, and that's a great reason to throw a party!

There will be fun and activities in the park all day for kids and adults alike. Play games, win prizes, eat ice cream! Enjoy two bands, learn about the history of the WCC, and meet your Community Council members.

We'll kick it off with Rob Tobias and Maya Love performing a Beatles tribute from 12:00 - 2:00

Free face painting and balloon animals by 541 Celebrations

Free ice cream by King Whippy from 12:30 - 4:30

Speakers include Senator James Manning, former Mayor of Eugene Kitty Piercy, long time chair of the WCC Sam Hahn, and more.

Round the evening out with more music from Eugene favorite Peter Wilde and friends from 5:00 - 7:00.

Bring your blanket or chairs, a picnic if you like - or buy some delicious food from one of the Whit's many restaurants and food carts. All of our events are free to everyone, but if you wish to thank the performers, the ice cream servers, or the face painters with a tip it is appreciated!

Sponsored by the Whiteaker Community Council and the city of Eugene Arts in the Park program.
