In partnership with OHA, WCC is identifying and assessing community needs across both housed and unhoused populations to develop and subsequently train community members on emergency preparedness.
The Whiteaker neighborhoods are at risk of flooding, fire and industrial hazards. Our goals are to develop emergency plans for both housed and unhoused with community training at WCC events, distribution of go kits along with education regarding mental and physical health during times of emergencies.
To be involved in this planning and preparedness, please join the Public Health & Safety Committee meetings every second Tuesday from 6-8 PM.
